Lucía Montalvo, born August 20, 1950 affectionately called “Lucha” by friends and comadres. And what a fitting name it turned out to be. A tireless warrior of a woman, brave even on her most fragile days. Why does LUCHA offer beauty services? Because even in the midst of pain, chemotherapy, and exhaustion… she wanted to look beautiful. And not just look it, feel alive.
“Style my hair nicely, put on my lipstick, paint my nails, I feel like crap, but I don’t want to look like it.”
We know firsthand what it means to live with cancer. And that’s why today, we’re here, for you. Not all of us have a loving support network like the one that surrounded Lucha, but her essence lives on, in every smile, every gentle touch, every service offered by this foundation.
LUCHA walks with you.
LUCHA fights… with you.
